*Please note that permissions/policies can only be granted to Users/Teams that have already been added to your Croo Portal via the Crew Members/Teams page.
A Policy allows a User/Team to interact with specific data found within your Croo Portal. A Policy consists of (1) a Resource Type, (2) an Action, and (3) a Scope Type.
A Resource Type defines a data subsection of the Croo Portal (eg. calls, journeys, etc.). Users & Teams can be given access to unique sections of the portal depending on which information they are required to access. These Resource Types include:
Any resource: access to any and all resource types;
API Keys: access to your phone system’s API keys;
Calls: access to the Call History section of your Croo Portal;
Extensions (under construction): access to the Extensions module of your Croo Portal;
Faxes (under construction): access to the Faxes module of your Croo Portal;
Integrations: access to the Integrations (Zoho CRM, etc.) module of your Croo Portal;
User Journeys: access to the Journeys section of your Croo Portal;
Policies: access to the Policies section of your Croo Portal;
Queue Agents (under construction): access to view users logged into a one/multiple queue(s);
Queue Statistics: access to the view the Queue Statistics section of your Croo Portal;
Queues (under construction): access to view the queue(s) within your phone system;
Roles: the ability to view which roles (User, Administrator) have been assigned to Croo Portal members;
Teams: access to the Teams section of your Croo Portal;
Users: access to the Users section of your Croo Portal.
Each Resource Type requires a Scope Type (which defines the landscape influenced by this policy) and an Action (which defines how a User/Team can interact with a Resource Type).
The Scope Type will vary based on the Resource Type chosen. These include:
- Belonging to themselves: access to one's own data;
- Belonging to members of the **teams they are part of: access only to the data of each member within their own Teams;
- Belonging to these *users: access only to specified Users’ data;
- Belonging to members of these teams: access only to specified Teams’ data;
- Within this organization: allows access to this Resource Type system-wide;
- Belonging to these *extensions: access only to specific Extensions' data;
- Within these queues: access only to the queue data of specific queues;
- Belonging to these queue agents: access only to the queue data of specific extensions logged into a queue
*A User is an individual that has been given access to your Croo Portal. An Extension is a user within your phone system that can make/receive calls.
**Members of a team belonging to a Parent Team will have access to data belonging to "sibling" teams under the same Parent.
There are two (2) Action options available:
- Is allowed to view: allows a User/Team to view a Resource type;
- Is allowed to create, edit, and delete: allows a User/Team to view, create, modify, and delete settings within a Resource Type.
